Synopsis:

This thesis investigates approaches to develop engaging exhibition. A case study was conducted on textile exhibitions at Asian Civilization Museum; Singapore. The focus of this research is to discover ways into developing an engaging textile exhibition through knowing the audience, improving displays and enhancing museums public provision. The research significance rests in the attempt to recognize the factors that enrich audience interpretation as a whole entity.
The aim of this paper is to propose an overview of Asian Civilisations Museum mission and strength, interview the museum curators and visitors and derive feedbacks of the experience of the exhibition, derive list of necessary changes and finally set out a strategy to enhance the development of an engaging textile exhibition.
