Title: | Celtic Squirrel. Year: c. 1996. Medium: Bronze with green patina, bronze. Dimensions: 68 x 22 x 18 cm |
Synopsis: | Table-top sized irregularly shaped biomorphic sculpture in bronze with a green patina. The sculpture has two pointed protuberances on the head that suggest ears. There are three furrowed Celtic spirals carved on the body, and patina stripes in green appear within each furrow, evocative of fossilised lines. A tiny round convex bump suggests an eye on the verso side. The title suggests that the biomorphic creature is intended to represent a squirrel. The base is bronze. |
