Synopsis:

Life-size sculpture made of bogwood and belian, suggestive of an abstracted calligraphic scrawl of the Chinese character
(永) meaning 'forever'. Plaster residue all over the wood surface enhances the grain texture. Sections of the wood are joined together with epoxy resin and are readily apparent. The base is made from a different kind of wood with rock crystal encrusted around the stand supporting the sculpture.
